Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the wild west in a great game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the casino, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers wager against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, starting players don't have to fret about other, more skillful players taking their money.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, rookies will be able to take their time and plan while not having to make quick choices.

It is also much simpler to participate in for a very long time with just a little amount of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer's hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the casino gets seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino's.
