Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the west in a fantastic game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the croupier, not like almost all other poker games that players compete against other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don't have to worry about other, more skillful people taking their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, rookies can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick choices.

It's also easier to gamble on for a long time with only a small bit of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer's hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the croupier is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino's.
