Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the west in a great game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like most other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, new players do not have to worry about any other, more experienced players taking their mulla.

A further Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game play, rookies should be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty selections.

It's also easier to wager on for an extended time with just a small bit of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer's hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards faces showing and the dealer is given seven cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino's.
