Online poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players acquire 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank's 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager's value is on same level to your beginning bet, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the showdown. If the casino doesn't have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with a figure on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino's hand. The casino pays money equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
