Now let us discover some different variations of poker other than holdem, seven card stud, five card draw and omaha hold'em. Yes, double-hand poker. Now you must be thinking that double-hand sounds a bit Chinese; yes you are right, this casino game is a mixture of the Chinese game pai gow and our very own American poker
Clearly this is not one of the most acclaimed forms of poker but still broadly played. It can be enjoyed by up to 7 players. It is played with 1 deck of 52 cards, including a joker. Interestingly, joker can only be used as an ace, or to complete a straight, a flush, straight flush, or a royal flush. The important element here to bear in mind is other than the normal ranking of hands we have one more winning hand that is "Five Aces" (5 aces including the joker). Surprisingly, 5 aces is greater than all other hand including royal flush. Every gambler is given 7 cards. These cards are aligned to make two hands; a 2 card hand and a 5 card hand. The five card hand has to be better or be equal to the two card hand.
After setting up the two hands, the cards are laid on the poker table with the faces down. Once down, you can't touch them. The dealer will flip over his cards and arrange his hands. Every players hand is played against the dealer's hands. Should the player take 1 hand and loses the other, this is known as "push" and absolutely no cash is exchanged. If croupier wins both hands then the individual looses their bet and vice versa. Now if there is a draw, the croupier wins everything. After the hand is competed, the very next player clock-wise gets to be the dealer and the following hand is given out.
